What's it all about?
Compeition is the one of the best part about being in a swim club. It can be a lot of fun, a great way to make friends, learn about themselves and gain valuable experiences.
Levels of Competition and Time Standards
OPEN and PASS meet level
Both of these types of meets have no qualification level, however, PASS meets have a "dequalifying time" - those swimmers who make their LMR times are not able to compete in these meets anymore.
Lower Mainland Regional Time (LMR)
These meets require the swimmer to have made an “LMR” time in a sanctioned meet. The LMR standard can be obtained by completing: a legal 200m IM under 4:00.
Tier I and Tier II Levels
In order to participate in these meets, swimmers need to swim a set number of events in times set at a provincial level determined by age category. These time standards can be found at SwimBC
These meets are restricted to those swimmers who meet the Swim Canada Standards
