Program Information

The SeaWolves train from September to June, Monday through Friday, at the Meadow Park Sports Center Pool in Whistler with 3 separate sessions offered (Fall--Sept to Dec, Winter--Jan to Mar, Spring--Mar to Jun).  The Club is open to children 7 years of age (as of December 31, 2021) and older who are able to meet our specific group minimum requirements.  We also run a Masters Program open to all levels of swimmers ages 19+ capable of completing 2 lenghts of the 25m pool with a recogonizable freestyle stroke.

Our club prides itself on its accessibility and inclusivity for all ahtletes regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression (LGBTQ2S+), sex, race, ethnicity, culture, religion, language, education, or income.  The facility provides us with full handicap access (including an aqua lift), private changing rooms, and ample public transportation options.

We offer 3-levels of Junior Development Groups (Bronze, Silver, Gold), which swimmers advance through based upon their mastering specific swimming skills:  learning and implementing the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly), being able to develop competitive starts and turns, and building good technique for endurance.  Typically, these groups train between 2 and 4 sessions a week.  From there, athletes who are able to commit to a full competitive training program become part of our Senior Competitive Development Program (Platinum), This group focuses on achieving competitive racing times, refining skills and strokes, and participating in regional and national competitions.  The Platinum Group trains between 4 and 5 days a week, both before and after school.

The SeaWolves strongly encourages cross-training.  Many of our members participate and excel in other sports; as such we support their busy schedules by enhancing over-all physical conditioning, while providing advanced skill development.
