Sponsorship Program
Every year we invite local businesses to be part of our swim-a-thon corporate sponsorship program.
The sponsorship cost is $200 and your business name will be on the t-shirt each swimmer receives after they have raised a minimum of $30. Your logo will also be featured on the front page of our website. The support from a few business sponsors means that all the money the kids raise can go towards supporting the club and the kids get a t-shirt as a reward for their effort.
Each November the Club holds our annual Swim-A-Thon. This is the Club’s only non-meet fundraiser and we expect all swimmers to participate and help us meet our fundraising goals.
This is a super fun event and your child will far exceed your expectations of how far they can swim in two hours.
After the Swim-A-Thon, we will host a pancake breakfast in the Millar Room at Myrtle Philip Community Centre. There will be a mountain of pancakes, as well as nutella and whipped cream. Your kids will be hungry after swimming for two hours!
How it works
All swimmers will collect pledges in advance of the Swim-A-Thon through our fundraising portal. Details will be sent to all families via email. Pledges can be either a flat rate or a per-lap rate.
Swimmers swim as many laps as they can in two hours (you’ll be surprised how many!)
All money pledged (less platform transaction fees) is donated to the club.
Swimmers who raise a minimum of $30 in pledges will receive a Sea Wolves t-shirt with all the sponsors’ names and participants’ names on the back.
What to expect on the day
Please pack plenty of easy-to-eat snacks and water to keep your swimmer fueled and hydrated.
Bring warm clothes for your swimmer to change into at the end.
Swimmers should arrive at the pool at 5:55 am if swimming on Saturday and at 3:30 pm if swimming on Friday. Everyone should access the pool through the side doors directly from the parking lot. Swimmers should be ready to jump in the water by 6:05 am on Saturday or 3:45 pm on Friday.
Each swimmer will need a parent to act as a lap counter and keep them hydrated and fueled for two hours. Lap counters should wear cool clothing—it’s warm on the pool deck. If you have a clipboard handy, please bring it along, with a pen. We will provide lap counting sheets.
